Dear Chef, Just wanted to thank you for your hospitality. Our dinner at Bottega was exceptional and meeting you made it all the more so. Rachel was blown away when you posed with her for a birthday photo.... thanks. We also enjoyed the introduction to your lovely daughter. It was a great evening and dinning experience and the highlight of our wine country vacation.
Thanks again.... best to you and yours.

Michael, I wanted to drop a quick note on a truly enjoyable dining experience I had at Bottega over the weekend. My party enjoyed the Chef’s Table for which we all were very impressed. We could not stop talking about all the high notes that were touched throughout our dinner. From the gracious welcoming to the unrushed departure we were treated to great service from your staff that was very accommodating. Our table could be overheard “oohing & aahing” throughout the exceptional courses. We’ve all enjoyed many wonderful meals before, however, none more so memorable than our time at Bottega. The setting was pitch perfect.

Chef, I just wanted to send a note to thank you for the amazing lunch at Bottega yesterday... I woke up this morning wishing I could be back for roasted beets and duck gnocchi again today! The service was perfect, the food exceptional, and the atmosphere was warm and substantial. It was a great pleasure to sit at the wine bar and taste wine with you personally. I have watched your successes through the media for years, and to get a chance to talk with you and enjoy the wine was a remarkable opportunity. Thank you for the signed bottles also...they will hold a special place in my cellar! Hope to be back for a visit soon!

Chef, You know that in a life time, you come across one of the best meal you ever ate only a couple of times. The meal that (almost) make you forget about Mum’s Blueberry Tarte or “Baekeoff” in my case. The first time I had your braised ribs, was at Tra Vigne 13 years ago and it was one of these moments. The memories have been my mind all this time. Luckily, I had the pleasure to visit Bottega a couple of weeks ago while in R&R in the Napa valley. It was probably even better than I could remember…made the trip even more worth it….

Last week we had the pleasure of dining at your restaurant; as an added treat we were seated next to Michael Mina and his wife Diane. They are very good friends with our daughter Beth and we visited with them and to remind you of who we were we mentioned to you we were from Chicago and you said,"next time tell Rick Bayless to let me win". The evening was one of the best we have experienced and the food and wine were great and probably the fairest wine prices we have ever experienced. Unfortunately, my wife was ill and could not join us. When our guests and I told my wife how wonderful it was she was happy for us and sad that she couldn't have joined us. She said,"see if we can get in before we go home". I said I would try but based on the crowd on a week night didn't think we would have any success. But, I called and told the person who answered about our evening and my wife not being able to go because of illness and how we enjoyed visiting with the Minas. To my surprise he said " I remember you, I waited on you" He squeezed us in at 6:30 on Saturday night and it was as delightful as the earlier visit. You made our trip memorable. Rest assured on our yearly trek we will be back. Thanks for everything,
- Tom & Sally
Dear Michael, Thank you for your graciousness when we dined at your wonderful new restaurant. As I told you when you came to our table, I have always been a fan of yours. You made our night with your hospitality and kind words. What you didn't know was that we were celebrating 40 years of marriage and Bottega and you became an important part of the experience. Best of luck with Bottega. It is a fine restaurant.

Some friends, and my wife and I went to Bottega on Sat Jan 24. WOW. We were seated in the private cellar. The staff was as good as the food. Porterhouse for two!!! Meeting Micheal was the highlight of the night for my wife. (So was having the picture taken) Can’t wait to go again and take more friends.
Sunday evening (Jan 18) my 2 girlfriends and I made a last minute choice to eat at Bottega on suggestion of our Napa friend. Too late to get a reservation, we chose to go anyway. Within minutes we scooped 3 corner seats at the copper bar and were able to order from the full menu. Alex the bartender, although extremely busy, helped us make some great wine choices. We shared a variety of gnocchi and pasta dishes (veal tortellini was fantastic) and Buratta with artichoke and lemon was a delight for the mouth. All dishes were memorable.
The best came after we paid and we decided to enjoy the outdoor roaring fire and comfy terrace seating, even though the night was cool. More wine and good conversation with other fire watchers.
It was a great experience, great food, great ambiance, great people and even Michael made a few strolls through the restaurant keeping watch over his patrons.
I can't wait to return. Thanks for adding to our Birthday celebration,

What a wonderful treat to have a spontaneous late lunch at Bottega today. Living in Benicia, we treat ourselves to daytrips in Wine Country wheneverpossible. Bottega did not disappoint. The restaurant is charming and warm, the staff professional and welcoming and well the food, may I say my compliments to the chef.
We dined on Fresh cheeses, swordfish and delicate scallops, the Franks family wine was a great compliment and the wonderful coffee a great finish. Of course the fact the very handsome Michael C. was there gently overseeing that the room was very special.

Complimenti Michael and staff! I've been to Bottega in Yountville twice now and love it, love it, love it. My Italophile-self is sooooo excited to have a cool, honest, unpretentious, did I say cool, place to hang out with Italian aesthetics from the organic woods and stones to the yummy smells and well-served chaos. It reminds me of a locals-only hub in any Italian town. The bar has an Uber-Euro vibe, the kitchen is a well-oiled machine o f focused cooks who obviously love what they're doing, the chef's ta ble offers a fun communal dining experience for drop-ins and friends, and the food is rich, comforting, and beautiful. Ok, enough comma delineated sentences. I'm going to eat and drink my way through the menu and enjoy every secondi (excuse the pun!).
Thank you for creating this world in our world.
Salute to your family and felice anno nuovo!
