Alex ESPINOZA

Executive Chef

Born on a farm in Guatemala, Alex Espinoza discovered cooking alongside his mother before moving to California at 15. A kitchen role at Tra Vigne launched a decade-long career of growth under celebrated chefs while balancing studies at the Culinary Institute of America. He later refined his craft at Meadowood and Peju Winery, cooking for icons like Jacques Pépin and Masaharu Morimoto. In 2021 he joined Bottega, and after Michael Chiarello’s passing became its first Executive Chef beyond the founder, honoring tradition while adding his own signature dishes.

Edgar Antonio

Raised in Oaxaca, Mexico, Edgar Antonio discovered hospitality through his mother’s quiet dedication and later honed his skills in Carmel Valley restaurants, rising from busser to sommelier at Aubergine. He became Service Director at The Restaurant at Meadowood under Chef Christopher Kostow, then held leadership roles at The Charter Oak and Ciccio in Yountville. In 2024, Edgar joined Bottega as General Manager, where his blend of discipline, warmth, and vision guides the restaurant into its next chapter.
